About Serial Stalker:

By murder number five, Lennie is becoming more and more aware that these killings could have something to do with her.
The man she keeps seeing in inconspicuous places, doing natural-looking, everyday things appears to be anything but innocent to her as time goes on, but is she being silly and paranoid? Or is he really out to get her?
Lennie is forced to make changes to her life in order to keep her contacts safe but while the body count rises around her, a pattern seems to be emerging and Lennie is sure it must be only a matter of time before he kills again.
Tracking the stalker, when the police come up empty, brings its own consequences and it begins to look as though he'll never be caught.
Will Lennie ever be free of him?

Excerpt:

As Lennie sat in the bus stop by the Agora shopping centre, the man that was already waiting there engaged her in conversation, mostly talking about the weather, how old and bedraggled the fabric of his shopping trolley was and of the appalling farce the local townspeople laughingly called a bus service.
They were the only two people in the bus stop and for the first time in a long time, she felt relatively safe, her serial-killer-stalker-guy, as she’d begun to think of him, wouldn’t know she was there, as she hardly ever went to Wolverdown anymore and she hadn’t seen him on the bus or anywhere around her when she’d got off at her stop.
She was looking at the man in the bus stop as he was talking and she saw something shoot out of his left eye and blood began to spurt out and then pour down his face onto his coat.
She couldn’t immediately comprehend what had happened but the man slumped over at the exact same time that the glass front screen in the bus shelter shattered into so many pieces.
She realised he’d been shot from behind the wooden back of the shelter, the back that both of them had been leaning against.
She instinctively knew that although she hadn’t thought he was anywhere nearby, it surely must have been her serial-killer-stalker-guy that had been responsible for the shooting.
In a state of instant shock, she stood up and looked for him, she came out of the shelter and looked in the car park behind it but there were only two cars parked there and there was nobody about that she could see apart from an old woman walking towards the shops with a red flowery shopping bag on wheels.
Lennie was so hung up on looking for her stalker that she completely forgot about the dead man in the bus stop, she was still held in a state of severe shock and the man actually just looked as though he might be sleeping.
She came back into the bus shelter and wondered what had happened to the glass screen, it was entirely shattered but her mind had completely blocked all memory of what she’d just witnessed, all she could think of was that her stalker might be nearby.
She sat down on the seat again and looked across the road to the pub and along the row of shops, she was sure her stalker must be there somewhere but she couldn’t remember what had given her that thought.
There were five men sitting at the tables outside the pub and as she glanced over at them, she didn’t recognise any of them as being her stalker, until he smiled and waved at her, he was wearing a thick coat, a hat and sunglasses and she felt her skin crawl as she realised it was him.
She prayed that her bus would come soon, the information screen was telling her it was due but it had been showing that for two full minutes and there was no sign of it coming.

About A. Woodley:

Born in London (South East) many moons ago (1954) & now living in the land of the concrete cows & roundabouts (we're famous for both) in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK.
I started writing poetry & children's books so long ago but did nothing with them.
The children's books need illustrations & that is far beyond my capabilities.
The poetry sat in folders, unattended & forgotten for the most part until I recently came across some publishing info online.
I decided to dig out my old writings & sent off a manuscript to a publisher, they liked my manuscript & offered me a contract but wanted to share (refundable) costs, which was too much for my poor finances to cope with and I had no interest in vanity publishing anyway.
I was then told about self publishing with Amazon & checked it out, so here I am.
My 1st two ebooks  'Glimmer of hope' and 'Life and more'  are random collections of 50 poems in each book,
I do understand that there isn't a huge market for poetry but maybe some people will enjoy my efforts.
I think my favourite poem so far that I've written is 'I want to be a tree'.
My Daughter & Granddaughter have given me lots of encouragement to get published over the years & it now felt like the right time to try.
Eventually I plan to get my children's books published with the help of my Grandaughter, who is artistic but doesn't have a lot of free time, so that could take a while.
I have now written several more short stories, a book of 20 murder short stories (Murder Melange) and I'm currently writing a new book.
