But then the stunning model, Dawn, is found murdered. The police decide
to cancel the fashion show that was planned for that night at the same
place for security reasons, unless the murderer is found. Lindsey
decides to help out and try to find the killer before the show gets
canceled.

"I'm so excited. I can't wait to try out the new dishes at LaLeaf.”
Lindsey was walking down the street in the cold, brisk January air. It was just a few days after New Year's and the weather was as cold as it could be. Jenna, her best friend, was walking quickly beside her, both of them in a rush to get to the restaurant and the warmth that would be there.
They had both decided on a fun brunch at their favorite vegan restaurant. Lindsey, a freelance graphic designer, had just finished a huge project the day before. She had yet to receive the materials and instructions for her next two projects and so she had a free day and a free morning for a luxurious brunch. Jenna, still “figuring herself out” at thirty-five, was a waitress and had the afternoon shift that day, so she too was free for an indulging brunch.
They quickened their pace in the bustling downtown street. Lindsey couldn't help but think that it was a great perk of being a freelancer that she could just take a day off like that.
"Which dish did you have in mind?” Jenna asked her.
They had both checked out the new dishes the trendy restaurant had posted on their website a few days ago.
"I want to try the broccoli tahini pasta salad. It looks delicious.”
"I have my eyes set on the tandoori cauliflower chickpea bowl.”
"Seriously, this is the best day ever. I'm having this fabulous brunch with you. Then I have
the amazing fashion show in the evening. It couldn't get any better.”
"I so wish I could go to that fashion show. But I couldn't find a replacement for my shift.”
"Sorry to rub it in, but it's going to be incredible.”
Their friend Krista was managing the PR for a fashion show that was going to be held that
evening. The fashion show would showcase designs by the hot, edgy designer, Christian
George. Christian had won a TV reality show as top designer a few years back and had
since gone on to show his clothes at all the fashion weeks all over the world, as well as
dressing numerous celebrities. His clothes were over-the-top and creative and his fashion
shows were always stunning.
Krista had offered them free tickets to the show and Lindsey had happily accepted.
"I really wanted to see his clothes. They're always so amazing.”
"You know what? Krista mentioned that they were doing a photo shoot for Fasha magazine
at the same place during the day. They're going to do a photo spread with some of the
clothes that will be in the fashion show. The concert hall where it's at is right around the
corner. Let's drop by and say hello to Krista and you can get a glimpse of the clothes.”
